Kevan, myself, and our two boys spent the weekend up at my in-laws cabin on the Wenatchee River. After a liesurely breakfast and a few photos down by the river we headed out to explore the area. We stopped at the Little Wenatchee River for some photos, then hit a lookout perched above Lake Wenatchee before tiring of the drizzle and heading up the ridge to find the boys some snow to play in.
After getting thoroughly drenched in the snow, we headed back to the cabin to dry off, listen to some music, and have a hot dinner. It was a simple, non-adventurous weekend with a lot of laughter and some FANTASTIC fall foliage.
For those that don't know, USFS 6500 on the North side of Steven's Pass just as you start descending the eastern slope connects to 6700 which takes you to Lake Wenatchee. It's a nice "Scenic Route" if you are heading that way.
