So I have the console all apart and am trying to locate the hi/lo selector lock out solenoid. I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone have any pics of said object? Quick help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

So never mind the pics, I have found the location. Now the problem is, I cant get to the bolts on the outside of the cover for it. Anyone have any success in this at all?

I have not attempted to remove the solenoid from the installed orientation. It might be a little dodgy. You may have to resort to supporting the transfer case on a floor jack, removing the transmision mounts and lowering the case/transmission to get to the bolts.

What if you unbolt the xfer case mounts and trans mounts and pivot the whole lot down on the engine mounts? I'm just guessing, not something I've done, but if it gets you an inch or two you might be golden.

Dan, would I also have to unbolt the drive shafts?
