About a month or so ago, I found a website with aftermarket hood latches, the type with pins sticking through the hood at the corners with a pin holding it down, forDiscovery's and Range Rover Classics.  I am trying to find where I found them and am not having any luck.  Does anyone know where these can be found?

I think the site specialized in LR stuff but had a small to medium amount of offerings.

Thanks,

Todd

Like Rick said, Dan had them on WLDKGDM 2 or 3. I googled Hood Pins and got a bunch of sources. Might I suggest these festive red ones for the holiday season?

Yep that's the one. I saw them somewhere as a direct replacement for the LR hood stops. Any idea where to get them?

Nathan at Pangea Expeditions had them at one point. Here's a link to his site but interestingly, you can't get to it from his main page. Not sure if that on purpose or accident - perhaps he's shutting down biz or not stocking parts? BTW, I haven't had any luck in getting him to return emails or phone calls so you may want to check the description for clues on how to order direct from the UK. Good luck.

I am going to buy them anyway, no need to discount them as they are only $25 to start. Happy to help a brother out!

Can you put them in the mail for me? I think you have my address. I can put a check in the mail, how does $30 sound to cover shipping?

you know, if you don't want to go to the trouble of installing the, you could get the stick on kind at a local schuck's or some such. originally aimed at the fast and furious crowd but rovers need to look good, too

I hear the stick on ones will even work as anchor points for your faux Tree Limb Risers.

LMAO

I was thinking of of putting a stick on kind on the fly of my Dockers to give me that fast and furious look!

My hood doesn't want to stay down all the way, so I thought this would be an easier and more confident fix. My limb risers (non-faux type) keep the hood down for safety but it still looks kinda goofy.

If they don't work out, I guess I could use them as fancy nipple rings when I go clubbing.

...... too easy....

Todd, my center hood release failed on me the other day too, i've got a replacement coming in the next day or so, but was looking at the hood rings as an option too, let me know how they work out.

By the way, Thanks everyone! I was getting frustrated finding these and was using the wrong term for them. Kevan pointing me to a Hood Pins google search rather than hood latch really helped. I strong point to the value of our little community!

Here's a better link to the product menu at  Pangea.  Seems like their website needs some maintenance.

Todd,

For what it is worth, I can get them for a lot less than Pangea and I have a set on the shelf.

Todd, go ahead and get them from Britt. I did a quick search and couldn't find mine. It'll take a more "go through those mystery boxes we still haven't unpacked from 2 moves" type of search. In the interest of time and money, grab the cheaper on-the-shelf deal.

Peter,

I don't want to kill a sale for you, so when you find yours, I will take them if Todd choses to go though me.

Britt

Will do, Thanks Peter!

Britt, PM me and we can figure it out, along with the High lifts.
