| The Marc Olivares legacy grows. Nice looking panel, if I get too type A about my one misaligned hole I might have to upgrade. | | | |

| We have them in stock right now. so yes!
Original Craig, yes the Marc Olivares legacy lives. Actually about 2-3 years ago Keith at Rovertracks tried to get me to build these, just never got around to it. Finally got around to it! | | | |

| Yeah, I doubt Marc was the first to make aluminum or steel door panels. His legacy is the door shelf design that I, with instruction from Marc, completely copied. Getting all those holes to line up perfectly was a royal PITA. Having these panels available will make the door shelf mod a lot more accessible to people. (cheers!)

| I agree with you 100% Craig. People keep telling us to build the shelves and sell them, just doesn't feel right. I figure we can supply the door panels though as I think they have a multitude of uses. Planning on building a "pocket" type option for them that is also SS. Need to get that started in CAD so we can turn a few out by the rally. Also would like to have some larger map pocket type options available as they seem insanely useful back there. And your spot on with the holes comment. Anybody who has ever had to blindly try to locate a hole to drill can appreciate just buying the part if the price is reasonable. I have spent many hours trying to figure out the easiest way to accurately get holes right the first time. Still really don't have an answer, trial and error rules. Needless to say this isn't the first iteration of these door panels... Probably won't be the last. | | | |

| I think I will be snatching one up!
Craig, do you have the plans & parts list from your shelf build? I didn't see anything too specific in the "snowshoe" thread...
Thanks! | | | |

| Sorry, no plans. I just worked it out as I went along. At one point Marc Olivares sent me his list of parts, but in the end my list looked much different than his list. I basically built it twice. Seems like I'd try one thing, it wouldn't work so I'd redo it slightly different until it all worked out. | | | |

| I'd like one of these. Is there empty space behind the panel that could be utilized? A recessed pocket? I actually use the pocket on the stock door panel. Did you relocate the speaker? | | | |

| There isn't much space. A couple of open spots, but generally there is a lot of sheetmetal to give the door structure.
I removed the door handle and speaker from mine. Haven't really noticed much difference in sound quality.

| These things are cool. I'm just not sure I'd want one in my truck. Also, the space between the edge of the carpet and the door is very usable if you have some way to secure stuff to the door -- I'd look into some anchor points or webbing or something to use along with these things. | | | |

| Hey Craig, that's good to know. My stock panel, speaker, etc., are all getting buggered up from my clumsiness running into it with abrasive objects. I think the stainless set up is great since I can mount custom racks to it like you have. | | | |

| These are pretty. If I wasnt so attached to my speaker and pocket I would be all over one of these.
I was under the impression that the DI and DII rear doors were identical. That was the thing. They didnt make any changes aside from the outside handle unit.
Am I way off here? | | | |

| There are some minor differences between the D1 and D2 panel, one is the handle placement the other is about 3 or 4 of the mounting holes. Eventually we'll offer a SS Door Pocket for these as it's something I really want to do. Might even build a shelf of sorts but not the cutting board like what Craig has. | | | |
