| These are apparently discontinued and I am in need of a set. They come in two pieces and I am missing the rear and the front section on my vehicle is marginal at best. Local parts houses offer what they think is the correct seal but it is actually for the glass style sunroof. I would love to find a decent used set ... if anyone has some let me know.... I have a ttached a poor pic but it at least shows the profile of the seal.... Thanks much! Ken |

| I couldn't find any either. You could do what I did... swap the roof for a sunroofless one. |

| Yeah I have been considering swapping for a later one with a glass sunroof (I like having one - but I understand how problematic they are - I think your choice is smarter than mine, frankly). I am also contemplating a sliding style sunroof similar to the old VW Bus sliding 'rag-top'. I have used them on a couple vehicles and they work pretty well if installed properly. But in the mean time... I am hunting. Thanks for the reply, Craig. How is your tire carrier coming? |

| Jeremy Thank you. The glass sunroof and the metal one, unfortunately, aren't interchangeable. One would have to do the roof panel in entirety. |

| Swapping roofs on an RRC is a super easy job. Following this along a bit... I believe Brett Curry is going to swap a solid roof onto his white RRC. He'd then have a white RRC with a glass sunroof/headliner available. His leaks, but you might be able to use parts from Jeremy to fix that.
IIRC, you have a lot of time into your headliner (DII pockets). I'm not sure if that would move over OK or not.

| It's kind of comical. Some of the things we have to do because of one part. I have always liked the idea of the glass sunroof just because I like the light it lets in. This roof swap has been considered since the purchase of my rangie and may be the route for me. I think I can swap the liner over because the one with the roof cassette with the glass panel has a lip that allows the use of the felt finisher from the later model vehicle to trim out between the liner and the sunroof orifice.
But I have insulated the roof panel, replaced the sunroof drains, and had that headliner board in and out about twenty times while wiring the one touch sunroof switch wiring, doing the DII roof pockets and over head console, cleaning the old material off, and finally getting the headliner upholstered. Now I finally have it all almost complete and a silly weatherstrip is going to make me do it ALLL over again with a new roof panel!!! ...... I guess it all just builds character, right? I love my ol' rig so I don't really mind taking the time to make it right.....
Jeremy - where do you live? I may come and look at your sunroof if you're close-ish.
Craig - I don't know Brett. is he near the PDX area?

| Brett is up here, near Kirkland (though I think they are currently moving). Great guy. Look him up in the Members Search page and send him a PM to see what's what. FWIW - I was able to strap my roofs to a set of Yakima load bars and drive on the freeway w/o any trouble. Your mileage may vary, but I don't think you'd have any trouble getting it home if you were to drive up here to grab it. |

| I will eventually have a white swb metal sunroof available (or just the seals). Don't know what kind of shape they'll be in. Mine does leak a little as Craig said but it's not bad and may just be a clogged drain. To be realistic though, I'm really not sure when I'll get around to paint and swap. Between the move and work, in addition to the occasional sunny day it may be a while. I would be surprised if there wasn't one in Lamorna though. When I do get it swapped if you're still in need it's all yours! |

| Brett Thank you .... you're very kind and I will be happy to take you up on the offer. Where would I need to come to?
My sunroof, while currently without the seal, seems to be leak free (knock wood). I did just install new drain tubes and the clamps so that aspect is working as it was designed. It's amazing how hard and brittle the factory tubing gets.
But I could definitely use the seal if it's in useable condition!!
To anyone that is interested I just pulled the clamps off and loosened the factory tubing, attached the new fresh, soft clear tubing to the old stuff with a short and cleanly wrapped piece of packaging tape (good adhesion and when wrapped properly has a low profile for clearing the holes that it has to pass through), pulled them through from the outside end. It worked amazingly well and literally took me about a half hour to do all four. |
