Thanks to Dan for organizing and leading another great trip through the Quilomene.  We (The Miller's) all had a fantastic time that was only soured by the fact that we knew it was our last trip with the Fain's.  Still, the entire trip was fantastic!

Some of the highlights for us were the lightning storm, exploring the southern portion of the Quilomene, swimming in the river, listening to the kids make jokes around the campfire, making s'mores with the kids, and laying under the Milky Way.  Great memories, and a proper way to say goodbye to some good friends.

Cheers!

The Millers

PS.  I've created a Quilomene 2008 album in the Trip Gallery.

Man - I am so beat. it was just under one hundred miles off road. Cool new trail discovered, one sweet winch exercise, a flat tire, broken temp gage sensor and a transfer case that did not fail We even got to christen Ike's JK before his trek to NYC.

Can't wait to see pictures.

Had a blast.

Thanks to all that attended.

That's enough about me, what about you? Thanks to Dan for organizing this ever fun shindig. The weather ended up being great and not a lot of bugs, which was dope. And we got to see the windmills close up which I really wanted to do. Yes, it was a great last trip....for now...with the Fains. Your regular attendance will be missed. pwc

Huh?...

Did I see Scott's rig in those pictures? Nah....

Scott doesn;t go on runs, that must be some "green screen" tom-foolery....

I know better Scott, Can't fool me!

A great trip, indeed. Big thanks to Dan for putting it together! Special thanks to the Fains for moving, so we could justify those margaritas! Best wishes to the Fains in their NYC adventure. Somehow, I expect to see them back in the not too distant future. You can take the Okie out of Seattle, but you can't...uhhh something something West 57th....

Todd, Scott really did wheel it! I should be able to photoshop him in by tomorrow. Do you mind if he borrows your tutu?

Again, thanks. Great trip. Katie didn't want to go home until just before she fell asleep on the rocky drive back up form the river. I walked in the door and went straight to bed for 3 hours....

Edit: love the winching pics! The official de-flowering.

Dumbasses ride again - for one last time. We had a spectacular trip as well Thanks everybody for a good outing. Highlights: Craig hiding in a buried concrete well, Nevak laying down on a paved road, Dan's poetry reading, singing old country tunes at the tops of our lungs while most of camp was already asleep , seeing the Carey's kick-a$$ 110 fully back on the road(!), Cody being ...Cody , rallye racing the JK, Scott's rig being back together! and finding him passed out in a dark field, alone .. (ok ok, he wasn't passed out but he was working on it before I came over to bug him after topping off his marga... errr,.. Long Isaac Iced Tea(TM)

cheers guys - thanks for a memorable trip before we have to bail - I look forward to all the pics.

LMAO!!

That's TOTALLY what we were doing. But how do you do it outdoors without a door? And I didn't see the crossed arm action described in the instructions.

Yeah, the door should have been on the other side of the camp.

I figured out how to link directly to a photo/album in the gallery so here is the link to the Quilomene Album

So far it is just my snaps.

Sorry mine didn't time stamp right. It's something with downsizing them and I'll figure it out eventually. It'd be cool if all photos had EXIF or at least time taken so sorting is realistic. but I can't even get my act together soooo....

I'm having the same problem and need to track down where things are getting mucked up. My workflow is:

Take photos
Download w/ Downloader Pro which renames the photos and geotags them.
Use Breeze Browser to select which photos I want to upload and to resize via the "proof" feature
Zip them up with Winzip
Upload the zip file to the album

There is a setting in the Gallery to "Extract EXIF on upload". I turned it on for one album and it wound up adding EXIF to the description which obscured the photos... so I turned it off. This may need to be on for the sort by taken date to work.  When sorting if it can't find the "EXIF Taken Date", it then uses the "Created Date", and if then the "Filename".

I/we need to setup a photo moderators album and experiment until we figure it out.

Craig

Mine didn't either, and I chose to keep the EXIF on the other side. Could be worse... I could be old and balding with more hair on my face than my head. Oh....
