| Jeffrey Stiner (Jeep Wrangerl), Geofff (Sportsmobile), Nate Skate (Jeep Cherokee), Max Chapman (Discovery II), and myself headed out to the Quilomene to camp, run a few miles of twin track, and to listen to the Grateful Dead concert across the river. Despite striking out on a free concert, we had a great weekend with some fantastic weather and beautiful scenery. The Quilomene was full of spring life with flowers blossoming, big horn sheep running around the hills, and green grass everywhere. We enjoyed every moment of our liesurely drive through this fantastic ecosystem. Trip Report and photos to come.... |

| Sounds like a fun time! The Dead show was great! After the show we hit the Whiskey Dick area for a quick camp away from people. Rolled in around 1:30am and had a small fire and big margaritas....went to bed when the sky was becoming light and birds were starting to chirp Good times!
Some good videos from the show are here for anyone interested!

| Hijack away!!! I soooo wish I was on the other side of the stage where I could have actually heard the music. You guys were starting your Margaritas right when we went to bed. Glad you had a great time! Craig |

| I added a photo album to the gallery. I haven't uploaded any pictures yet, but please upload yours if you have any good ones. I'm still sorting through mine. |

| Thanks for a fun trip! I've been wanting to do a NWOS Q trip since I found the website. I can't seem to find the photo album. |

| Can't find the album to look at photos, or can't find the trip to add photos? The album won't appear for viewing until one of us uploads some photos. If you click "Add Photo" the album should be available for uploading your photos (unless I munged the permissions). |

| I've just added some of my photos, too (in random order, apparently) to the end of that album. And, if you just can't get enough, I also have a somewhat different set on my website: http://octopup.org/2009/quilomene

| I have no idea as to why it does this. There are a few photos that don't have an EXIF "Taken Date" but most of them do have them and even those are out of sequence. I'm going to file a bug with the photo gallery module, but in the past he's been extremely unreceptive to requests about this. We'll see how it plays out.

| There's a known bug in the software and I'm trying to get the latest version now. |

| Looks like Max added a few more photos. I gave up on sorting by taken date.
They are now sorted by filename which typically puts each photographers photos together in the sequence that they were taken. E.g. Craig's photos from beginning to end, Geoff's photos from beginning to end, then Max's photos from beginning to end. While not perfect, this is better than the completely random presentation that we were seeing before. |

| And still no mention by Craig of the rooftop tent vs. tree competition... ;^ I do hope it didn't cause any serious damage. Brian |

| Damage incurred:
- 1 Ego - 1 RTT hinge - salvaged in field - 2 Thule gutter mount feet - seem salvagable though - Several roof dents/scrapes - 1 sunroof - Several bloody fingers while cleaning up the glass everywhere - Gutter trim ripped off - still need to replace.
I picked up a used sunroof from Columbia Rovers that Jeffrey is going to pickup on Saturday and I'll install on Sunday. Total cost of the damage shouldn't be too bad as long as I'm willing to live with a few dents/scrapes. |

| Oh NO! That is serious doo-doo. Craig, you didn't even mention it when we spoke Saturday. At least it's sunny weather, huh? edit: just viewed the great pics! Thanks for posting those up guys. It's best I didn't go with you. On our trip out of Whiskey Dick I had some non-normal noise underneath, and it is an OME shock bushing in the rear. I was able to fix her up on the spot and get out fine, but I would not have wanted to do mileage like that. |

| It happened about an hour after we spoke.
Honestly though, it didn't ruin the trip for me. With everyone chipping in we were able to fix the tent enough that it was completely stable to sleep in. There wasn't any permanent damage to the tent, the sunroof took most of the damage, and the smaller scars on the truck aren't bad at all.
Besides, with all that great weather, relaxing group of people to travel with, fantastic scenery, and time away from work who wouldn't be relaxed?
I'm more stressed about the Service Engine Soon light that came on during the trip home than I am the sunroof. Lot's of wrenching going on this weekend. Sunroof, engine problems, front locker install, swap my rear output shaft back in, and maybe pull the sliders for cleaning/sandblasting/painting (black).
