I used to use TopoZone to do research using their online topo maps. I see Trails.com has bought TopoZone and almost all of the online map info is no longer available without a subscription...  Anybody know of another source for online topos?

Go to the USGS store online, and you can download anything they have. There are some Google Earth plugins that help too. There's a thread over at Expo Portal on this. I'd give you some links, but I'm on the clock (shhhh).

The original Microsoft Terra-server is OK for this.  The interface is a little old by todays online mapping standards, but all of the maps are there.
