So my SES light turned on this morning and I went to Autozone got the codes printed out but it says nothing about LR. I really dont know what I'm looking for on the list of codes. Can anyone help me or tell me what these codes mean?

I'm sure the folks at CR can do a scan for a nominal fee. They have the factory computer to read and clear codes. They can even turn on some cool computer trickery.

Ryan,

What are the codes?  In the short term, make sure your coolant and oil levels are topped off.  Overheating a Land Rover turns an expensive problem into a really expensive problem.

Ryan, I don't know where got them, but I did a google search awhile back and printed off the codes for my 97 range rover. I think my key word search was something like "land rover diagnostic codes". I hope this helps. good luck!

Ryan, do you have a Disco I or a Disco II? On my D1 I have both a "Check Engine" light, which is yellow, and a "service Engine soon" light which is red. AFIAK the red service engine light is simply a 90,000 mile counter that just comes on every 90k, codes present or not. Dweb has an article on the process to reset this light, basically you have to find a little red box on the passenger side of the vehicle, behind the carpet or kickpanel, and short 2 pins inside it, then light should go off for another 90k, if this is the same as my vehicle has.

Thanks for the respones guys. It turned out that the gas cap was not tight. After I tightened it, it took a couple cycles but the light went out. Thanks again. BTW Craig I just recieved an email stating Sorry Craig does not want to be your friend? I dont take it personal but sheesh.

Ha! I was testing the new friend stuff, adding, deleting, viewing users. Sorry about the confusion. I'd be happy to be your friend or anyone elses on NWOS.
