08/26/2009 4:35 PM Alert

While trying to wire up my new front bumper I realized there just isn't enough space or loose wire in the wire loom for me to do my usual solder/heat shrink to connect up the running/blinker assembly in the bumper so I wanted to find a less destructive electrical tap than the normal pinch/slice the wire kind.

I found some called Posi-Taps : www.posi-lock.com/posiplug.html

They sound like they should fit the bill and look simple to remove at a later date as well.  With my rig still being under full warranty I did not want to start chopping up the wire loom and then later have the dealer deny a claim because the wiring has been cut.

The best place I found to purchase them was from www.crutchfield.com/ here is a link to their Posi-products www.crutchfield.com/app/product/search/searchresults.aspx

I'm waiting on delivery but will update this post once I've used some of them.  Anyone else use these or have experience with them?

Traded in all my project vehicles for my 2009 Xterra, not an ounce of buyers remorse.
