does anyone know where the transmission ECU is on a D2? apparently, it's under the driver's seat but all i see is the amp. a tech on dweeb suggested i unplug it and see if i have reverse and D3 to confirm whether or not the problem is electrical or mechanical. electrical=transmission works in reverse and D2 w/o ECU. mechanical=transmission no workie, period.

The amp is mounted to a bracket. The ECU is on the underside of the bracket.

Yeah you'll need to unbolt it and flip it over. It's a tight fit, but you can do it with the plastic seat skirt removed, but with the seat in place.

Andy,
Lift the seat up all the way, and forward all the way, then remove it, once it's flipped it will say Bosch transmission controller on it, if I remember right.
