In the process of planning another trip out through the John Day Fossil Beds, Sumpter, Austin Junction, Granite and up into Greenhorn. Has anyone ever rented or stayed at the Deer Creek Gaurd Station Cabin listed below?

Are there other great places in that general area or route that you know of that are great places to camp out at or places that are great to see in the area?

I see that now...dates we are considering are already booked. Will look at alternatives. We do not have to have a place, just looked like some pretty cool places to base from.
