Just so everyone knows, this trip will be kid friendly and as such, please do not bring large swords or viking outfits.

Scott Tarrant, this means you....       It's ok to bring your swashbuckling girlfriend though.

If you hold the trip during MidSommer Night (June 21st) I have no choice but to bring my viking helmut, make large fires, drink mead, and sing songs in tribute Odin.  With a name like Eliason, I suspect you'll have no choice but to join me.

Sure and lutefisk, Fiskesuppe, and lingon berries too.  Foraging for it in the desert might be tough though.  On second thought you can have the lutefisk all to yourself.  I hate that stuff.

how many days are you planning? i just remembered that i will have 4 days off for 4th of july, if it is around then it would be a lot easier for me to get a few days off before or after. but still need to get the girlfriend to agree to it.

This was headed down a slippery slope (even by my standards) so I deleted a few comments including my own.

Back to focusing on the Steens trip and less on Nordic women of any age.

2nd Week in August folks.  Roughly the 8th through the 14th.

So far on the list we have:

Scott Williams
Dan Cronin
Mark Elfring
Scott Tarant
Kevan Wiser
Isaac Fain
Brad Mendenhall
Danny Stevens
Larry Grubbs
Jason Deymonaz
Ben Bailey
Brent Frazier
Dustin Morrow

Possibly Craig and Andy if they have a rig by then.

I'm capping it now but am sure there will be cancellations.  Let me know if you are interested and for a week long trip, we must meet first or have endoresement from one of the attendees as a "cool dude" to get on the list.  Most of you are fine, but I don;t want to put an untrusted teamate on this list without having someone vouch for them on a whole week trip.

If your name is on the list, please also let me know if these dates will not work for you.  If I missed you, please let me know as well.  I have had a lot of people express interest both on the thread and in passing.  I could certainly have forgotten you.

I am out, unfortunately. Interco said they're going to put Swampers in 185/55-16 on the back burner-so me and the Fit won't be coming. As usual it sounds like a cool trip.

I can't believe I missed those pictures of Scott T the first time around! Thanks for bumping this back up.

Andy....any way i can help bring a smile to your day!!

Toddles, that sounds like a plan.....as you know, i'll be on the Quil trip with Danno von Croninberg that weekend, so i'm assuming we could meet up out East on the way perhaps??
