Can't really explain it except to say that I like my '89 Classic so much that I want a newer one!  I like it so much that I really want one I can like even more.

I have been looking for a long time, there are a lot out there, but I keep driving vehicles that are either just complete wash-outs (should be parts cars) or even if they are good over-all, mine is in better condition, and the owners don't even clean up the car to show it!  I mean, I'm driving some bloke's RRC to see if I want to spend thousands of dollars on it, and he is insisting that I sit in his dirty seat, touch his gummy, grimmy steering wheel and gear shift, deal with his frys, chips, and garbage... anyway...

I'm looking for a good deal, but not a steal.  We all know how good the NW RRC's can be, I'm looking for one that won't give me trouble -- like the one I have now.  No wide spread electrical issues, no major leaks, engine ticking to a minimum, good exhaust, or exhaust that can be ripped off by my 4 year old so I have no excuse but to replace it as soon as I buy the car.  I would kind of like it to be stock so I can start with a clean slate.  But a lift would be fine.  LWB -- OK, but I would need to be even more picky on the color combo, etc...

I'm in Portland.  Can drive or fly if the photos show that it is perfect for me.

I know what you mean about the RRC. I love my '93.

I saw a couple on craigslist up here:

http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/car/279364684.html , '90 for $4k with 200,000 on it. White and clean he says.

 - or -

http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/car/282293331.html , '91 for $2200 with 143,000. Green, Hunter model. I've never seen a Hunter model but I hear that they are the non electric gizmo version. If I could have a spare sitting in my driveway I might consider one of these. Lighter with less stuff to short out. I would miss the ABS though.

I've asked about the Hunter, looks a bit rough though -- do any of you know the owner?
