I might have to give those a try. I assume that you'd use them to mostly keep your drinking water cool? (As opposed to water for other  purposes)

I have been on trips to the desert when they were used to keep water cool. The tan color does not seem to absorb much of the heat from the sun.  They can also be used to keep other things hot.

They are 17 x 9 x 20 high and can be used as a padded container for things that need to be kept from getting bashed, cameras, telescopes, and such. They can be used to keep your clothes in or any other things that need to be contained on an outing. Great for the whole lunch/picnic thing. YMMV

I am getting two (they come in pairs in this offering) as I can donate the other one to a group raffle for another group I am in. They are highly prized by desert dwellers and 4x nuts.

Morris...thanks for the heads up. Just ordered a set and I'm looking forward to using them.

Truth is, I'm just flat looking forward to getting the hell out of town for a few days, period. Preferably in the desert around a fire with a glass of scotch. Perhaps I'll just have one of these sitting next to my chair full of ice so that I don't have to get up. Oh yeah.

I am so ready for this winter to go away.

Glad to help Mike, especially another scotch drinker. Stay safe in the desert.

Maybe I will see you in August at the Military Vehicle show in Portland. There will be a big group coming up from the Mogfest in Sheridan.

I would look forward to that. Any idea on where to get info on that military vehicle show?

Thanks for the link Morris. With all the trips to hot weather locations this summer (Alvord Desert, Hells Canyon) these should come in handy. I just ordered a set too. Fantastic price! 2 of them for $25.

Mike,

This sort of changes the thread but, the site for the military vehicles group is PSMVCC.org

You will see that shown in their events section. There is also a gathering of MV's at the XXX Root Beer stand in Issaquah on April 26, just a few weeks away. Maybe I will see you at that one. Check out cruzinmag.com for a very large schedule of all sorts of vehicle events.
