There's a wilderness first aid class being held at the YMCA in Gresham February 27th & 28th, 2010. After completion of the class you'll receive the Wilderness First Aid certification which is good for 3 years. I have attached a link below and the description on the YMCA website. My wife and myself are signed up as it seems like a good idea to have someone other than me to be certified just in case I'm incompacitated. It's kind of pricey, but if you spend a lot of time in the woods it's probably a better investment than much of the stuff we buy for our trucks! When I called last week they still had plenty of space, I'll check back next week and get a pulse on the amount of space yet available. http://www.campcollins.org/campcollins.html From the website: The Wilderness Medicine Institute, an institute of the National Outdoor Leadership School and YMCA Camp Collins, will be offering a two-day, 16-hour Wilderness First Aid course in Gresham on February 27th & 28th, 2010.
