Potentially lame:

I recently picked up a pair of generic black rubber farm boots at Bi-Mart for $9. I use 'em when I clean out the dog kennel and whatever sloppy jobs need to get done. Well, someone got me a new pair of muck boots for christmas and I took them thar black boots to keep in the back of the rig. Nice to know you have a back up pair of boots, they take up little space and I dont always wear the right shoes all the time. My wife can wear 'em too if she just slides her shoes inside. For $9, a cheap way to stay out of the muck when the time comes...

Cheers!

I have been looking for some rubber boots lately, found some at Ace hardware for pretty cheap. Not a lame thread, good to have back-up boots in your truck in case of potentially getting stuck in 2 ft of mud and not jumping out in sneakers.

Truck with pinstriping.

Same here.  I have a pair of "muckers" that I keep in my gear bag. I think I paid $30 for them but they're waterproof and breathable.

They're made by BOGS, and are actually very comfortable.

I got a great pair of rubber boots at the WalMart in Poulsbo for under $15. I put in a pair of inserts to make them a bit more comfortable,  Good for water but not so  much for snow, no insulation.
