Anyone have any suggestions for a good place to camp near Sequim? We are going to a family reunion this summer and would like to camp rather than stay in a hotel. A campground is fine, we are just looking for someplace nice to stay. Craig

Davis, Both. We'll be camping with my wife's sisters family too so we'll hang out and relax some but generally it will be between events. Craig

Craig, I'd second Peter's rec for a place that's reletively close to Sequim and good fun. I was going to suggest Ft. Flagler on the northern tip of Marrowstone Island (northeast of Port Hadlock) as another place to try, but, given your need to go back and forth to Sequim, it might be better saved for another trip, or as a stop on the way. Ft. Flagler is a State Park and downright lux by nwos standards (i.e. blacktop, proper toilets, water, and, ahem, RVs). On the other hand, there are some great campsites and who can knock the benefits of a hot shower or a happy spouse. The location can't be beat for snooping around an old WW I fort - particularly if kids are in tow. Lots of well maintained structures, cannons, and history. We camped there regularly when I was a youngster so lots of fond memories. (Of course, we didn't have x-box in those days...) As of about 6 years ago, there were some great areas of the fort that were "off limits" and quite overgrown - not exactly Angkor Wat, but still evoked a bit of the adventurer spirit and good fun to explore while avoiding the park ranger - wink. Worth a look, if only for a lunch break. d

Thanks guys! I'll find out exactly where the reunion is (near Sequim) and then figure out which campground to make reservations for. It looks like I have a couple of options. nice. Craig
