Well Just got back from your trip today. This was sort of a compressed summer trip for me since i took some summer classes earlier. he trip consisted of me the girlfriend and the 2 dogs. We left from bellingham and drove to norwood colorado where my family has property. Norwood is a really small rancher town about 40 min down canyon from telluride and about 80 miles from moab Ut. This as you can imagine make for a great "base" for exploring. From norwood we did several multi day trips in the area for hiking and camping. We then drove from Norwood to Prescott Arizona which is where I'm from. We again did hiking and exploring. While down in Arizona A friend gave me a call to invite us to vegas for a few days so were were off to vegas. We then drive from prescott back to colorado for a few days to enjoy telluride's blues and brews festival before heading back up here to bellingham. All said and done we did about 4600 miles most of which with the trailer fully loaded. Heres some pictures from the trek and ill post some more up later as there on the other camera. Mike
while in colorado we worked on a back deck for the ranch house. We recycled the old 100+ year old fence posts for the foundation and filled interior with gravel from the pit using the old 65 county dump truck (still runs like a champ) Also check out the new japanese Kei truck we got (any one know where to by custom wheel spacers this sucker needs bigger tires)
These sun sets are pretty much a dime a dozen there.
We hauled in the rocks from the canyon just on the edge of the property. Most had to be winched up with the quad since it was just the two of us working
And then we were off to Az
These were from blues and brews in telluride. All i can do is highly recomend this fesival to any one who gets a chance to go. Telluride has a fesival pretty much every weekend during the summer and this is one of there larger ones. Saterday they have about 50+ brewerys from across the county and there is all the beer you can drink for 3 hours. Its beautiful weather, great music, and the food and beers not to bad either.
