Let me start off with the bad news... I did not get any pictures!

But I did winch a 1.5ton tow truck up to the top of Queen Anne hill today!  Lets just say that the boys at Day & Nite towing owe me! The old Warn 8000XDI reeled the tow truck in no problem.

I'm still kicking myself for leaving the house today without the camera.  I hope you all are enjoying the snow!!

Sweet! John- you are a very generous individual. I hope you lectured the guy about how much it would have cost him had he called a tow truck!

Sure enough, should have told him to pass it on the next time he helps the elderly or those in real need.

Got an Audi Quattro and a Toyota Corolla last night with a 300' piece of 1" 3 strand line and one of my snatch blocks. From the bottom of a hill snatch blocked from a study cedar tree up top and headed down the road perpendicular to the hill the cars being recovered were on, just like yarding logs in the woods with a skyline! Once the cars got to the snatch block they were still about 40 feet from the crest of the hill so we winched them the rest of the way with the WARN!

Gotta love snatch blocks and good ol' mechanical advantage!!!

I pulled an Exploder out of the ditch on Cornell yesterday afternoon. Tried winching first, just ended up pulling the RRC closer to the Exploder (I gots no chains). Then we tried a split the load with a couple snatch blocks, but the RRC still slid. Finally hooked the RRC to the Exploder with a strap, and anchored the RRC to a tree with the winch. Pulling with the WARN winch and the RRC did the deed.

I wish I could remember them all. I've been the Sherwood McMenamins taxi so I've spent a lot of time on the road. I think I've pulled something around 15 cars out around Sherwood and Newberg (plus a few in the gorge) since the first Sunday. My strap has gotten a FANTASTIC workout and my chains are definitly what made the difference in many occasions.
I also got pulled out once, foolishly thinking I could drive up towards Bald Peak on the slick stuff without chains I ended up in the ditch and had to get a tug from a passerby in a F250

One FedEx Delivery truck that had chains on.  No joke!  He got jack knifed coming down the hill in front of my house.  He ended up in the neighbor’s yard and we tried digging him out and putting wood under his rear tires but with no luck.  Got in the Rover, got out the large tow chain, pulled him straight. If only he could have lost a Wii package in my driveway on his way out of the neighborhood.

So far I have only had to recover myself out of my dad's driveway. My own fault for driving into the giant snow pile, then getting aggressive with the throttle. Got my brothers and a couple shovels, had the snow cleared in about 5 minutes, more aggressive use of the throttle got me out. I haven't had any issues moving around in the weather, the BFG AT's help a lot!

I,ve pulled out a couple of cars over the last week. Yesterday was the best one. I see this lady in her hybrid civic stuck trying to get from the main road to her development. I pull in and offer to pull her up the small hill and she says "No thank you". I drive past her and drive into the development only to find out that there is only one way in and out, and now she is blocking it. I ended up breaking out the shovel and with the help of 2 other neighbors we shoveled clear the entire intersection...We push her up the small hill and all we get was a horn beep! ........... Merry Christmas lady

My neighbor pulled a semi out off a ditch with an F350 Ford Four door. Almost 1500hp and 1100 lbs of torque. It must be nice to be that mighty. I have'nt had the oppertunity to pull anyone out this year. Many times in the past with my Montero and people are so greatful. Love doing that.

Pulled my neighbor's older Volvo out of the snow yesterday. He got it out of his driveway, but went too far and slid into the snow in his yard. He was gonna have his kid shovel it out but I was just leaving home with the van, so *gently* pulled him out. Was surprised to find no tow points on a car made in Sweden! Had to use a lower radiator support to hook to...
