I'd want a Pinzgauer like Morris', with a custom camper w/ pop top to do this trip. Of course I'd do it on the Husaberg 390 same as the RR author, with a trusted friend driving the Pinz (preferrably a mechanic/emt ) whilst I rode the bike. Sheesh. What a nasty trip. A fella can dream, can't he... BTW, the Rekluse the author refers to is an automatic clutch. My brother in law installed one on his Husaberg and loves it. He also then relocated the rear brake engagement to the left handle bar lever where the clutch lever used to be. This allows for much better braking engagement capabilities. For instance, super steep descents where you want to have both feet on the ground if possible. Usually that would allow a rider to only engage his front brake and not the rear, or it forces the rider to make those quick decisions between using the rear brake or using the right foot as an outrigger as to not fall to the right. Tricky, especially on a bike with lots of travel. It's also great for not stalling the bike on steep hill climbs etc. |
