Getting closer...

Probably won't get it together before I have to head to Asia next weekend, but oh well.  Need to pick up a drill bit, since of course I had every size but the required 7/16, and a tap too.

 Anyone have a recommendation on the best place to drill for the connector?  I thought I might drop the diff back into the case to check clearances before I pick a spot.
