Thanks Todd. Know where I can find a tall cliff? (for the truck, not me)

Scott and Jeffrey both agree that they need to get a waveform analysis done on the crank and camshaft sensors. After that's done, they'll analyze the data and decide where to go. Flywheel or camshaft position sensor is really all that's left.

I have a bit of work to do yet to get my truck put all the way back together. That along with the holidays means we probably won't start the next round until the New Year.

Sorry, Craig. There's gotta be some cosmic reward coming your way for all the effort.
Button it up and lets go get some playground time. I'll let you abuse my Toyota

Thanks Grant... I think I'm going to stick with it on every free moment I have until it is working. It is more than the driving I miss, it is the sense of independance one has with a truck that is setup for just about anything. I want my truck (any reliable and well setup truck really) back so I can go snowshoeing, winter camping, to the top of the sledding hill, to the cabin, to the trailhead for my daily hike, etc.. I've been patient with this POS for 6 months now. I'm not sure what's going to happen, but somethings gotta happen soon.

On a more practical note, I may be forced to part it out and get out of Overlanding for a while as I need reliable transportation soon and can't afford a third vehicle. Like I said, I'm not sure what's going to happen but it's going to happen soon.

I'm gonna pretend I didn't read that...

I know where you are coming from, the frustration sucks more than just the fun out of it. Maybe I'll find another little pickup and let you drive it so my wife doesn't have to know it exists. It'd be for your general good, so the deception would be all justified, right?

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I've already been out of Overlanding for over 6 months now...

No decision has been made yet.  We'll make it after the holidays.

You can borrow my beastly Power Wagon, but you might not want to be seen in it (I think it's a cool classic Mopar), and right now it's one of those cars I won't drive without a cell phone, or at least until I replace the belts.

Thanks for the offer you guys, I know you guys mean well. What we really need is a reliable long term solution so I think I need to figure something out on my own.

Are you moving back into employee mode?

So, I kinda hate to ask this, but what are you thinking for options? Keep flogging yourself no matter what happens? At some point, do you give up on it and part it out? How much more time and money do you put in to it? And can you afford anything to replace it? I know if you had tons of money laying around it would be easier but life don't often work that way. Jeezzz, this sucks...

If you are willing to wait a month or so, I know of a certain Silver D1 that will be up for sale.

Dan - More like both. Even if I take a job, or contract I plan to keep Spatial Minds operating. I'm considering other non-employee mode possibilities at this time though. Regardless of what I do, I need reliable transportation.

Brian - I have my lines drawn in the sand with the Rover and I have practical and hobby related transportation needs. The decision is one I'll make offline. Be happy to share with you what I'm thinking offline sometime though.

Mike - I'm not interested.
