I'm going to try to take my test next Sunday evening. I think I can pass if I get a chance to study a few times this week.

Craig, are you going to supply a spreadsheet (mobile?) with this info so we can select the right call signs for the right trucks/people we are out with?  It would be cool if there was some way to get the full list, then click the box next to the name, vehicle/color, call sign of the people you are going on the trail with, then print it out.

Ben,

Are you going to take yours at the Washington County location at Hillsboro Fire? I am close to feeling ready, but not 100% sure. I am hoping to grab some more study time this week as well. This group does work with the Fire District I work  for and are a pretty good group of people.

Ben,

That is a good idea. If I implement it, it will be based on the call-signs in your Profile, and I'll probably just integrate it into the Events Module's List of Attendees.

To update your profile callsign:
- Click on "Profile" in the menus at the top of the page.
- Click "Edit Profile" on the left hand side. The "Pane" on the right hand side will switch to the "Edit Profile" view.
- Click "Manage Profile"
- Update the HAM_Call_Sign field and press "Update"

We've got a pretty good list going now. With three of you getting ready to test, and a big handful of others planning to study/test before the question pool changes. Nice!

Thanks, Ben. Get-R-Done man! The test was really easy, especially if you are using the ham online site to study. I believe there are several spots around your area to take the test that are coming up.

Yeah, I think I can still pass it (have not studied for a while) but I just don't have the time to get out and take the test! I thought I could get to one a few weeks back, but I had to stay home and work.

Dang.. 35 licensed operators now, and at least 2/3s of those are active members. Nice work people!

That's actually 36 Craig. My callsign KF7ANC is in my profile but I'm not in the first post list.

Bueno!  Life on the trail is going to be so much nicer without those ridiculous FRS radios

Way to go William. Nice job.

If you are looking at new radios, give the HAM Radio Outlet a look at least. Used? Maybe you can score a sweet deal like Ben did and grab one off of CL.
