That works, though it's kind of an oxymoron in your case.

Added it to the list.

Added Carl Greene to the list, added a place holder for Chris.

Great to see so many people getting licensed. This is making a significant improvement to our on-trail vehicle to vehicle communication.

Thanks Craig!  Now all I need is a radio and a respectable offroad vehicle and then maybe I can hangout with the cool kids.

Kadar, just go for Extra at the same time you test for General. I had initially planned on only taking General, but I got kind of addicted to chasing the leader board on Hamtestonline, so I started studying Extra at the same time. I passed both.

Then, you will be able to get a cool call sign with only 4 characters instead of 6. :)

I bought a 857, but haven't had time to install it in my truck yet. Once it is in, I'll report back and give my opinion. Have you thought about an antenna for the 857? I bought a ATAS-120. My thoughts are to use it as a VHF and HF antenna when I don't have the roofrack on. When I install the rack, I'll use a dedicated VHF antenna on the rack and the HF on the spare tire mount.
