I'm throwing this out there to see what kind of burgers you guys put together over the campfire - Over the weekend I made monster beef patties with ranch powder cooked in a frying pan in the fire, they boiled in their own grease starting random fires - In an epic display of carcinogenic heart stopping awesomeness, said burgers were then topped with sharp cheddar and put onto giant buns.

I like the grease fire broiling!!

NM Red Chile Powder mixed into the meat. Hatch, NM roasted Green Chile on the burgers, jalapeno jack cheese.
Adding a fried egg is bueno but not really camp easy

Well I haven't tried it yet but I've been told that this recipe for Glazed Bacon-and-Cheese-filled Burgers is supposed to be really good. I'm hoping to try it soon...

I currently am totally digging using beefalo, yummy stuff, and much healthier.

I've liked to puree onions and peppers and add to the mix, throw in some feta cheese, salt and pepper. Nom

Tell ya what, for me you can grill a burger anyway you like. If you got good meat, that makes all the difference. I've always took Ground Beef and mixed it with blue cheese and bacon. Grill it up. It just maybe the most delicious thing in the world. Haha.

Agree with the oversized buns. But, also a Burger with some Chipotle Aioli Avocado and pepperjack would be delicious too.

Haha, I need to get the grill going this week.

I like to make some kind of salsa and mix it into my burgers before forming them. Just some salt and a little lime juice mixed into some finely chopped tomato, onion and jalepeno. AMAZING. You could even add a little mango to your salsa. Keeps the meat moist, even if the fire gets a bit too hot, or if you get caught up in something else.

Blend in some french onion mix into the meat. Make the patties 1/2 the thickness you normally would - put some blue cheese on top of one piece and top that with another thin patty. Seal it all around and grill it!
