If you enjoy nice cooking when outdoors, this website is pretty cool.  http://7bargrille.wordpress.com/  It's a subsidiary of JpFreek.  Nicely done blog with a 5 star chef.

Edit:  The "ticking" video is a bad example.  Standing on someone's truck (ticking) is always a bad idea.  Winch em, use a rock strap, but don't stand on the vehicle.  If the vehicle weight shifts, it will throw you off in a heartbeat.

that ticking video is downright scary. I saw a video of that section of trail several years ago where a Jeep tipped over backwards in almost the same spot.

Agreed Mike.  The driver kept lurching the vehicle forwards/backwards as he operated the manual transmission. One lurch into a hole, and that thing would've catapulted those ticks Holy Grail style.

what possesses people to do this?  the guy on the hood literally asked Peter to "hold my beer" before he jumped on.   We just stood back and watched the show.

There is a intuitive desire to correct a potentially bad situation. There is something about the human spirit that wants to right the wrong. Even if a 6,000lb vehicle with a couple hundred horsepower involved, it is just instinctive that 200 lbs of soft flesh can conquer it all.

There have been times that I've been off camber with my left side inches away from the ground in my instinct is to stick my arm out to hold the vehicle up. When you have time to actually think about it, it is just stupid.

How can anyone argue against natural selection after seeing this. Darwin was right....

MY Tacoma Xcab just pushed through a decade of mostly trouble-free miles (110 K) as of 2/2010. My new interest, a 2002 BMW F650GS Dakar is coming along well. Too many toys, too little time!
