So, I whipped up this PDF doc to put onto my iPod to take with me in the car so I can look up info that I don't have memorized.

First, you need this really sweet program: PDF Word Excel File Viewer App, by Concrete Software Inc.  (search for it on iTunes -- I've tested it, it is good. Worth buying.)

Second, you need the PDF file I've attached here.  Put it on your computer, use the wireless function on your iPhone/iPod to upload it to your iPod for portability. I also just uploaded the users manual for my radio, and I suppose one could upload the RAVE!!

Anyway, I'll update this PDF when when more people are added to the list, and right now I just put the repeaters that I might use on the trip tomorrow.  I'll upgrade the PDF once I search out specific repeaters for specific spots.

I guess I'll see how handy this is tomorrow.

Killer, Ben. Great idea. I will get you the Livingston Mountain Repeater...this is the one you and I should try out to speak from my place to yours, I believe it would provide pretty good coverage for us both.

See you in the am.

Cool, I'll look for the freq. (I pulled my radio out of my truck and forgot to learn how to put in the PL number -- I may have to bribe my wife to read through the manual while we drive!)

I got very good simplex with a guy about 9 miles from here today, so my radio is working well. I should probably hook up an SWR sometime though.

Thanks for the PDF Ben. We should add in some of the more commonly used repeaters for each area that NWOS tends to explore. Rather than just putting together a long list, we could list Hells Canyon Repeaters, Naches repeaters, etc.  Then again, maybe I should just make a map... and stick all of this content into the Overland Handbook (wiki).

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Also, I thought it might be good to have the vehicles listed as well: Ben Bailey, Grn 88"/Dk Blue DII

... and then in your copious amount of spare time add the repeater locations and frequencies to Overland Navigator!

One could do this quite easily by adding a few waypoints to a GPX file, or even easier by configuring Overland Navigator to do APRS.
